How to set up fresh blockchain (altcoin)

So i was following this guide:

I compiled a qt wallet for BlackCoin successfully, but i ran it and its synchronizing with the network by itself? how do you set up a fresh node and start to mine your own coin?

I tried to search it but didn't get any good answers seems like many people are having synchronization issue, but my wallet just synchronizes itself, is there some IP defined in the codes or something that its connecting to other nodes already?
